( A few snapshots from the 2001 event )
The Peninsula Glass Guild held a members & friends picnic, Sunday, June 3, 2001 at historic Fort Monroe (Phoebus/Hampton VA) on the Chesapeake Bay. The turnout was good, and this year, the weather was great!

There has to be a meeting... brief though |
Waiting for the food... |
Still waiting... but enjoying it! |
This year the weather truly cooperated (remember Fran and Willis last year with the rain slickers?). This time it was sunny, warm, and a good (stiff at times) breeze prevailed. Even the shelter was nicer this year. Recently manufactured, solid wood with new tables. The two things that remained the same as last year were the Guild members, and the great food. And as before, more than enough food to satisfy even the heartiest appetite. Fresh barbeque, slaw, beans and assorted desserts.
Thanks to the organizers and all the members who attended.
- Let's do it again next year! -
